North Dakota Signs Pact with Chinese City
BISMARCK, N.D. — North Dakota now has a sister-state relationship with the province of Shandong in China. Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley signed a memorandum of understanding Friday in the city of Jinan in Shandong, China. Wrigley says the relationship will help strengthen economic and social ties in the areas of agriculture, aviation, education, energy and technology. The sister-state relationship builds on the trade partnership already established between North Dakota and China. Shandong is a coastal province, located in the East China region.
