News-North Dakota/Minnesota EB-5 Regional Center Receives USCIS Approval to Expand

On May 2nd, the North Dakota/Minnesota EB-5 Regional Center received approval from the USCIS to expand its original designation! We are now preapproved to operate in the entire State of Minnesota. In 2011 we became the first Regional Center to operate in Minnesota, and today we are the only approved Regional Center with a physical presence in the state: having offices in both Eagan and Rochester.

Our name has formally been changed to the “North Dakota/Minnesota EB-5 Regional Center” – emphasizing the joint focus on both North Dakota and Minnesota.   We have the ability to facilitate investment into any private enterprise, but we are specifically preapproved for the following NAICS categories:

  • Accommodation and Food Services
  • Agri-Businesses
  • Aviation/Aerospace
  • Bio-tech
  • Construction
  • Health Care and Social Assistance
  • Information/ Communication Technologies
  • Manufacturing
  • Real Estate Development
  • Transportation and Warehousing
  • Utilities

Theses expansions will allow the North Dakota/ Minnesota EB-5 Regional Center to have a greater impact on the region by serving companies previously unable to take advantage of the EB-5 program, because of their location or industry.

Dalrymple Touts North Dakota’s Strong Economy at Forbes Reinventing America Summit

Gov. Jack Dalrymple today attended the Forbes Reinventing America Summit in Chicago and spoke to attendees about the strength of North Dakota’s economy and how the state is leading the nation in economic growth, job creation and the expansion of targeted industries. Dalrymple was invited to address the summit by Forbes publisher and North Dakota native, Rich Karlgaard. “Exciting things are happening in North Dakota and the nation is taking notice,” Dalrymple said. “We have a strong message of growth and innovation, and I enjoyed bringing that message to the summit as an example of what can be done across the country.” During his remarks, the Governor highlighted some of the state’s economic milestones and rankings, including recent reports that name North Dakota a leader in both personal income and population growth. Dalrymple stated that for the sixth time in the last seven years, North Dakota has recorded the strongest personal income growth among all states, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. The state’s average personal income increased 7.6 percent last year, while the nation averaged 2.6 percent growth. The U.S. Census Bureau announced today that population growth is being reported in all regions of the state and that a number of North Dakota communities and counties ranked among the nation’s fastest growing. The Forbes Reinventing America Summit is a first-of-its-kind event bringing together industry executives, entrepreneurs, academics and elected officials who are leading the next revolution of innovation and opportunity in the country. Joining Dalrymple as speakers were Steve Forbes, Forbes Media; Bill Ford, Ford Motor Company; Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel; David Cote, Honeywell; and Sam Zell, Equity Group Investments.
